Reverend Marva E. Pennicott
Co-Pastor Marva Pennicott is a phenomenal woman of God who serves with a compassionate
heart, vibrant faith, and an unwavering commitment to the call of God upon her life. She hails
from St. Elizabeth, Jamaica where she accepted the Lord at an early age and has been active in
her faith ever since. After migrating to the US, she served with excellence at the Bronxwood
International Church of God in capacities such as Women’s Ministry president, as well as
founder and director of the Marriage Ministry.
Even though her preference would be to serve in the background, the call of God has placed
her in the forefront of ministry. Having a desire to please the Lord, she willingly submitted to the
plan of God for her life. She pursued further studies and graduated from the Church of God
Ministerial Internship Program and is a credentialed ordained minister. Pastor Marva has a
bachelor’s degree in social science and a master’s degree in education. She is retired from the
New York City Department of Education where she worked for many years as a teacher.
She is a servant leader who is passionate about people coming into a growing relationship with
Jesus Christ and doing their part to advance the kingdom of God. Her preaching of the word has
brought deliverance, healing and restoration to many.
The Pennicott Family
Together, Pastors Lennie and Marva Pennicott have been married for 43 years and their union
has produced three children and they have been blessed with a beautiful daughter-in-law. In
their free time they enjoy exploring nature, traveling, and spending time together as a family.
Together they are thankful for what the Lord has done and hold true to the vision He has placed
in their hearts.
Reverend Lennie G. Pennicott
Senior Pastor Lennie Pennicott accepted the call of God upon his life. In preparation for
ministry, he graduated from the Manhattan Bible Institute and the Church of God Ministerial
Internship Program and became an ordained minister in the Church of God. Prior to assuming
the pastorate, he served the Bronxwood International Church of God in various ministries such
as the Evangelism Ministry, New Convert Ministry, and served on the Deacon Board for many
years. He also co-founded and co-directed the Marriage Ministry.
Before migrating from the beautiful island of Jamaica, he worked as a vocational instructor at
the Maggotty Secondary School and later in the United States worked with the New York City
Transit as a machinist for many years.
Through his administrative leadership and strategic vision, the church was able to purchase our
own worship facility, hence our relocation to Mount Vernon in June 2023. He is passionate
about the business of the kingdom, to reach the lost, seeing lives transformed, and seesing believers
growing in their relationship with God. He believes that God can take our mustard seed and
turn it into a great harvest.
Revs. Lennie and Marva Pennicott have been pastoring for 19 years. Prior to that they have served in different capacities in ministry. They have combined their talents and experiences to shepherd our church in a remarkable way.
